Our department's faculty members gave a conference in Bulgaria as part of an EU project.

Our department faculty members Prof. Dr. Şahin Yıldırım and Dr. Ali Bora, along with Information and Documentation Department faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Altay and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lale Özdemir Şahin, Dr. Hasan Öztürk, and Research Assistant Ceren Bilge Seferoğlu, participated in an international conference and training program in Bulgaria as part of the European Union (EU) supported project “Modern Tools in Documenting and Presenting Cultural Heritage in Archaeology (DigiArcheoSpace)”. The conference addressed current research methods and applications in digital archaeology and the preservation of cultural heritage. As part of the project, an international training course was also held in Primorsko, Bulgaria, hosted by the History Museum Primorsko. The training covered topics such as online archaeology databases focused on Byzantine sigillography, modern cartographic methods in archaeology, analysis and digital restoration of ceramic artifacts, and three-dimensional digitization of small objects using RTI (Reflective Transform Imaging) technology, all through hands-on workshops.
